Hmm, I have become lax in my blogging interest.  I am going to make a feeble attempt to once more keep the non-existant readers informed of the happenings in my life..

School has finished for the summer, about 2 weeks ago.  Since then I have been blessed by friends' generosity and hopsitality and have stayed with a couple friends while working and making a bit of money before I head out to camp once again to spend a summer being the JCL director..scary huh?

My car was towed on wednesday, and is currently being "fixed" by my dad...in otherwords it's sitting in the garage while i remain unable to transport myself anywhere.

This next week I will be living with my future sister-in-law and taking care of my niece while Julie goes back to work as a teacher for the last week and a half of school.  I'll have to post pictures or something.

I love the book Ella Enchanted, but HATE the movie.  They completely ruined it.  That's why books are way better than movies.  Go educate your mind.

The Knowledge of the Holy: The Attributes of God: Their Meaning in the Christian Life

My heart cries as I read about teenagers killing homeless, for no reason at all.  "Sport killings" is what they're called.  I wonder what God thinks when he looks down at his children in the midst of such chaos.  Does he ask himself why he bothers with us at all?  We can't seem to get anything right.  If we do, it all becomes about ourselves anyway.  I look at pictures on facebook and am disheartened by what I see in my friends and peers' photo albums.

On a lighter note, Dare 2 Share is this weekend, and Chrissy and i get to help with it!  Our job is to pray the whole weekend.  Yay prayer team!

I want to sell my computer and buy a laptop.

I just took a Spanish test and aced it.

I have to go to work now.  My car doesn't work very well.  It dies a lot, in the middle of the street.  And the thing that kills me, is I'll put my emergency flashers on and people will honk at me.  As if I can do anything about it..well, aside from getting a new car...and that's not likely any time soon.  I suppose it's time I figure out the bus system here in Lincoln!

My parents are rocking awesome.  I just wanted to throw that in there.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day!  And Presidents' day. Why don't we celebrate Presidents' day more?!

I slept in until 2 pm today.  Then I took a nap 3 hours later.  And I will be in bed in about 20 minutes.

My parents are probably the coolest people in the world..just so ya'll know.  They came up to look at my somewhat sick car today, and when they found out I didn't buy a parking permit for this semester because I think it's ridiculous and I didn't want to spend that much money..my dad drove me to the parking services (which was closed) and my mom whipped out her checkbook and wrote me a check for a permit.  I tried to stop them, but my efforts were truly only half-hearted, because it is kind of scary walking out to where I had parked my car.  And it is really cold outside now.  So I love my parents, not just because they buy me things, but because they are just amazing people.

A lot has happened since the last post...and I don't even really care to elaborate..sad to say.  Christmas was awesome, DCC was awesome, new brothers and sisters in Christ is SUUUCH an answer to prayer...and God is moving in a way that I have faith that we will all have many more brothers and sisters here in the near future.

Praise the Lord, oh my soul.

Strain this chaos turn it into light
I've got to see you one last night
Before the lions take their share
Leave us in pieces, scattered everywhere

Just give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Just give me something to hold onto

It's so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear cos you are all that I have
It's so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear cos you are all that I have

You're cinematic razor sharp
A welcome arrow through the heart
Under your skin feels like home
Electric shocks on aching bones

Give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Just give me something to hold onto

It's so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear cos you are all that I have
It's so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear cos you are all that I have

There is a darkness deep in you
A frightening magic I cling to

Give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Just give me something to hold onto

It's so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear now you are all that I have
It's so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear now you are all that I have

And thus begins Christmas break...yet where am I?  In my dorm room.  I'm working full time this week, to make some extra cash...fun.

My old roommate got married this weekend!!  It was soo fun to spend time with so many old friends.  I've decided that dances with so many crazy people are incredibly fun, and freeing!  I wonder what dancing in heaven will be like.

Creepy story--so I got back to my house last night/this morning at 1 am.  I got out of my car and was grabbing as little as possible from my car to get inside and crash.  Well, I noticed a car driving really slowly down my street..and then it stopped..right next to my car.  I was freaking out a bit by now..I ws praying that my front door was open so I could sprint across the lawn, up the stairs and in the door.  I kept walking (at as quick a pace as one can while wearing heels in soft grass and carrying a violin) and then I heard a man's voice "excuse me!"  Again, I prayed real fast as I turned around to face a man standing directly behind me.  He was asking me something; I couldn't understand because of an accent.  He pulled out a piece of paper, and asked me where a road was.  I had no idea, so I told him to turn around and go the other way..and then turned and walked the remaining distance to my house, flew in the door and locked it as fast as I could. It was quite scary.  I wonder if he ever found that street.

I'm tired.  I like sleep.  maybe I'll go sleep now.  I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season!
